It’s Been A Long Time!

It’s been a looooooong time Blogland! Boy, has this been the BUSIEST year ever for me! Some things that have been going on since my last post (all the way back in September!):

* drama with some parents and my principal (issues have been resolved!)

* finishing up my Master’s degree- projects, papers, presentation, and portfolio (I graduate next Saturday!)

* committee meetings/work and being elected to the Site Based council for next year

* putting together a DVD for our PBIS school wide behavior expectations (part of an assignment I had to do)

* lots of general stress!!

I have 11 more days of school left with my students. I actually have a super class this year overall. Yes, some days are better than others but I really do have a great group of kiddos and I will be super sad to see them go. 🙁 This is probably the highest group of readers I have ever had. I don’t want the school year to end but I do. Know what I mean? I’m getting very excited about next year already (I’m already working on my lesson plan template for next year!).

I will be able to devote more time to my blog once school is out and I graduate. Next up on my plate is to possibly begin work on my National Board certification (haven’t decided yet for sure when I’ll start). I have many other projects to work on this summer (de-cluttering my classroom, redecorating it, editing things and posting them on TPT, and planning for next year!). I also really want to move my blog to WordPress so I will have more freedom as far as the layout and content are concerned.  I’m going to Disney World once school is out and later in the summer I am going to Canada to visit the in-laws so I’m excited about my upcoming trips as well.

I have received MANY emails asking me about how I am doing Daily 5 and Scott Foresman. I will post soon about how my year has gone and how I have been doing things.

I can’t wait to get caught up on reading everyone’s blogs this summer! I know many people out there have started blogs since I vanished for awhile so I look forward to discovering “new” blogs as well! 🙂

TeachersPayTeachers is having their Teacher Appreciation Sale this week (in case you have been hiding under a rock!) My store is 20% off and with promo code TAD12 you get an additional 10% off which makes the total like 28% off altogether.

Have a happy Sunday and a great upcoming week! 🙂

    Welcome back! I was a National Board candidate this year for Early Childhood-Generalist. I mailed my portfolio in March and take my written test one month from today! If you have any questions about it I can point you in the direction of some great resources I’ve found along the way. I’m going to dedicate a page of my blog to NB resources once school is out. Also, I use wordpress. You’ll love it if you make the move!
